TVT Sling Complications: Vaginal Pain / Pain During Sex
Bladder sling complications can occur after a TVT sling. One of the most common sling complications is vaginal pain or pain during sex. This is due to excessive mesh tension which can be a direct result of surgery or a delayed result of scarring. The tension creates a band like effect which creates pain. One does NOT need to have urine retention to have vaginal pain or pain during intercourse. This can often be fixed by removing approximately 4-6 cm of mesh. Please see video to the left.
